AutoGPT Agent Jam Competition
Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility


1.1. This competition is open globally to individuals aged 18 years or over in jurisdictions where AutoGPT operates, except employees of AutoGPT, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the competition. Participants must ensure their participation complies with their local laws and regulations.


1.2. No purchase necessary to enter.


1.3. Internet access and a valid email address are required to participate.

2. Competition Period


2.1. The competition submission period begins on December 26, 2024, at 00:01 GMT and ends on January 10, 2025, at 23:59 GMT ("Competition Period").


2.2. Submissions submitted before or after the Competition Period will not be eligible.

3. How to Enter


3.1. To enter, participants must:

  • Provide all required information, including contact details.


3.2. Multiple submissions are permitted, but each agent must be substantially different from any previous submissions.


3.3. Submissions must comply with all AutoGPT Platform guidelines and technical specifications provided.

4. Judging Process and Criteria


4.1. Three (3) winners will be selected based on the following categories:

  • Most Agents: One (1) winner selected based on highest number of qualified agent submissions

  • Judge's Choice: Two (2) winners selected based on judging criteria defined in clauses 4.2 and 4.3 


4.2. For the Judge’s Choice awards, judges will review and score all submissions considering:

  • Innovation and creativity

  • Functionality and performance

  • Technical implementation

  • Practical applications


4.3. Each submission will receive a score of 1-10 in each category. The submission with the highest combined score in each category will be selected as the winner. In the event of a tie, the submission with the highest practical applications score will win.


4.4. Judging will be conducted by a panel of qualified judges (including at least one independent member) whose decisions are final.


4.5. Winners will be announced the week of January 13, 2025. Winners will be notified via the email provided in their submission. Winning submissions will be published at agpt.co/agent-jam.  

5. Prizes


5.1. The following prizes will be awarded:

  • Most Agents Category: $500 USD (or equivalent) gift card

  • Up to Two Judge's Choice Awards: $250 USD (or equivalent) gift card each


5.2. Prizes will be awarded in USD or equivalent value in the winner's local currency, subject to local laws and regulations. Winners are responsible for any additional costs and expenses including any applicable taxes or fees.


5.2. All valid submissions will receive:

  • Beta tester account access to the AutoGPT Platform


5.3. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash alternative is available.

6. Winner Notification and Publicity


6.1. Winners will be notified via email the week of January 13, 2025 using the email address provided in their submission. Winning submissions will also be posted on the website at agpt.co/agent-jam. 


6.2. Winners must claim their prize within 7 days of notification or the prize will be forfeited.


6.3. By accepting a prize, winners grant AutoGPT permission to use their name, photograph, likeness, and submission details for
advertising or publicity purposes worldwide, in all forms of media now known or hereafter developed, without additional compensation.


6.4 The surname and county of the winner will be published at agpt.co/agent-jam for 1 month after the Competition Period. If you do not want your surname and county included on the list of winners referred to above, please email contact@agpt.co prior to the end of the Competition Period.

7. Technical Requirements


7.1. All submissions must:

  • Be in valid JSON format or submitted via the AutoGPT Marketplace; 

  • Meet the AutoGPT Platform technical specifications;

  • Be original work of the participant; and

  • Function as intended when tested


7.2. Submissions that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into this competition. 

8. Intellectual Property Rights


8.1. By entering, participants grant AutoGPT a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote their submissions for competition-related purposes.

9. Data Protection


9.1. Personal data will be collected and processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.


9.2. Participant data will only be used for competition administration, prize fulfillment and for the purpose outlined in clause 6.3 above.

10. Conditions of Participation and General Terms


10.1. By participating in this competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and all decisions of AutoGPT's panel of judges, whose decisions will be final.


10.2. All submissions become the property of AutoGPT and will not be acknowledged or returned.


10.3. AutoGPT reserves the right to: (a) verify the eligibility of participants; (b) disqualify submissions that violate these terms and conditions; (c) modify or suspend the competition in case of technical issues; and (d) substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.


10.4. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Discord or any other social media platform used for the competition.

11. Limitation of Liability


11.1. While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit or exclude AutoGPT’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, AutoGPT will not be legally responsible to participants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to AutoGPT or to the participant at the time of submission into the competition or which are caused by a third party.


11.2 Accordingly, Determinist Ltd, trading as AutoGPT, is not responsible for: (a)technical failures of any kind; (b)lost, delayed, or corrupted submissions; and (c)any injury or damage resulting from participation.

12. Governing Law


12.1. These terms and conditions are governed by English law, although if you are resident elsewhere you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the laws of that country


12.2. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. This means that you can choose whether to bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of the country in which you live.

13. Promoter 


13.1. The promoter is Determinist Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales whose registered office is at 3rd Floor 1 Ashley Road Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 2DT United Kingdom.
